AiQ
Our AiQ curriculum (Alleyn’s Intelligence Quotient) prepares our pupils for the future, building an agile understanding of tech along with the intellectual skills and ethical principles to use it in the right way. The AiQ at Alleyn’s schools is based in All Studios, a centre equipped to facilitate innovation, collaboration, ideas immersion and voice.
AiQ is an interdisciplinary curriculum which fosters pupils’ ability to understand and direct meaningful technological progress while applying sustainable and regenerative thinking. It is taught alongside traditional academic subjects by teachers expert in a wide range of disciplines, and has been developed in partnership with universities, creatives, technologists and entrepreneurs: our courses are wide-ranging and open-minded by design.

AEQ
Based at The Well, our proactive pastoral care programme the AEQ helps pupils develop the tools to manage their own well-being and build their sense of identity, through an empowering values, character and leadership programme, whilst being supported and recognised in the school environment. In the good times, and in more challenging times, the AEQ is designed to support every day of a pupil’s time at school.

ALL IN
Our extensive co-curricular and Partnership programme ‘All In’, complements the academic curriculum, providing every child with the opportunity to try out new things and to find out more about themselves. Our programmes encourage participation for all, aiming to grow personal interests and talents, developing well-rounded individuals who have empathy and contribute to society.
Given our artistic and dramatic C17th Founder, our commitment to and engagement with the Arts has been a longstanding element of an Alleyn’s education and is very important in setting the tone, bringing joy, developing imaginations, individuality, confidence and teamwork. Along with Sport, Adventure Education, and a very extensive partnerships programme, the Arts are at the heart of our “All In” co-curricular provision.
Pupil Art is displayed in every single part of the school, regular “Bear Pits” (improvised and informal public drama shows), the Celebration Day performances, LAMDA showcases and seasonal performances such as the Nativity.
Music is also core to an Alleyn’s education, with ensembles and choirs, concerts throughout the term, and with Battle of the Bands, House Singing, House Music and even House Lip Synch (!), we work hard to ensure there is something for everyone musically.
Dance is also a very distinctive part of our education. We have an annual Dance Show involving pupils from across all year groups and reflecting the range of experience and ability. The encouragement of pupil choreography through a number of Dance groups and co-curricular clubs is key to this. ‘All In’ provides each child with a broad range of co-curricular options from one of four baskets: Intellectual, Physical, Social and Cultural, each aligning with opportunities to demonstrate and develop our ROCCK values.
Year 2 and Year 6 all complete the Mini and Junior Duke Awards respectively, learning new skills and giving. Stage performance is never far away with: Infant Christmas productions and the magical Year 6 play being dramatic highlights. These are complemented by the long-standing A Bit of a Laugh comedy revue and The AJHT talent show (Alleyn’s Junior Has Talent). The Dance Showcase The House Lip Sync Christmas and Summer Concerts Rock Concert. The Big Read author outreach event. Debating, including an annual foundation schools competition.

Aspiring Minds
The name for our scholarship programme, ‘Aspiring Minds’, is inspired by our founder, Edward Alleyn. Playing the lead role in Marlowe’s thrilling epic, Tamburlaine, Alleyn spoke these words many times:
“Nature, that fram'd us of four elements Warring within our breasts for regiment, Doth teach us all to have aspiring minds.”
Whether taking part in workshops run by expert speakers from around the world, creating a rocket the size of a tin can, competing in a maths Olympiad or taking to the stage in our Big NED or TEDx speaking events, our academic enrichment programme Aspiring Minds gives our children the chance to go beyond the curriculum, build their intellectual fire power and discover more about the world around them.

All Together
Alleyn's Events cement what it means to be part of such a vibrant school community. Every Alleyn’s school year is framed by important events, celebrated by the whole Alleyn’s family. From the Matriculation of new pupils, through our Big NED talks and TEDx, Alleyn’s School Youth to our summer Founder’s Day and Celebration Day: these are moments that every student enjoys and they bring a unique and formative shape to their entire school journey.

Physical Environment
At Alleyn’s we believe that the physical environment that a child learns in has an important impact on their education, their sense of belonging and wellbeing. Whether a child is learning in our classrooms, getting to grips with tech in our All Studios, performing in one of our Bear Pits or taking a moment of calm in The Well, an Alleyn’s school building is designed in a way that feels friendly, creative and authentic so every child feels they belong.
Over the next two years, a multi-million pound investment into the infrastructure at Regent’s Park Prep will ensure that all new facilities including The Well, All Studios, Performance spaces and our teaching spaces are the finest to enable a truly first class educational experience. The Well, All Studios, The Chapel development into a Performance Hub and a new dedicated Dining and Dance facility will be ready for opening in September 2025.

Thought Leadership
The future of education is very important to us at Alleyn’s and, working with partners from MIT and Imperial through to the Coalition for Youth Mental Health in Schools and the Foundation for Education Development, we seek to harness the latest thinking for the benefit of children in our schools and across the world.

ROCCK Values
An Alleyn’s education is not a road but a river, not a hard, straight line but a vibrant, twisting, turning cascade of experiences, carrying us into the sea of life ready to be all we can be.

Academic Life
Our children find joy in learning, in discovering the world and who they are.
Admissions
At Alleyn's Regent’s Park we aim to inspire, educate and protect our children. We help them to learn, grow and thrive on their journey to reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom.
